What it does

ObservaStory is designed around Obsidian, ordinary Markdown, local tools, and a locally configured model. Manuscript content, configured meaning, prompt context, and stored observations remain inspectable instead of disappearing into a black-box project.

Why it matters

Authors can explore machine-assisted observations while keeping the developing book, its model, and the final judgment under their own control.

• Scenes remain ordinary Markdown notes.
• Observations are written into generated frontmatter.
• Evaluation context can be traced to the current scene and selected definitions.
• Workspaces read saved observations without making another model call merely to display them.
• Privacy still depends on setup choices such as plugins, sync tools, GitHub visibility, and model endpoints.
